Old McJesus

To the person who taught my daughter “Jesus loves me” in the nursery while I was in church on Easter Sunday, you should probably know that she doesn’t seem to be making any distinction between that song and “Old McFarmer” (i.e., “on the Bible he had a pig”).

To the person who taught my daughter “Old McDonald”, I believe that Sg has vastly improved upon your song by changing it to “Old McFarmer”, thus allowing the compression of two lines of exposition into one (“Old McFarmer had a zebra”), which, in turn, gets you to the animal noises much faster. And let’s be honest, it’s the animal noises that keeps the kids coming back. Also, she worked the Bible in there, which you probably never even thought of.
